Winning in Tendering Workshop – Workshop Agenda
The focus of the workshop would be to explore the issues arising for social enterprises in tendering for public sector contracts. Among the issues on the agenda for discussion include:
Searching for and identifying public sector contracts (above and below EU threshold)
Making contact with social enterprises
Obstacles/barriers experienced by social enterprises in completing a tender for public sector contracts
Financial capacity requirements/insurance requirements/previous experience of public sector contract delivery as selection criteria for public sector contracts
Opportunities for social enterprises to form consortiums when bidding for public sector contracts
Experience of feedback from public sector procurement professionals
Suggestions for training interventions and assistance for social enterprises who aim to become more successful in winning public sector contracts
The event will be followed by light refreshments.
Follow-up
There will be a subsequent ‘Meet the Buyer’ event planned for January 2012. This will be a networking event for both social enterprises and procurers with training seminars interjecting throughout the day.
