Inniskeen Pitch & Putt Group, together with a plethora of other community based bodies in the village have followed through on their development committment with relative haste and effectiveness. But then again that's nothing out of the usual for the people of Inniskeen, and in particular the Pitch & Putt Committee. 

Two years ago the club was awarded 1^st prize for the best kept environment from Monaghan County Council. (The club has 50 club members, a number of who contribute to the maintenance of the grounds on a voluntary basis).

Client Relationship Executive, Donal Traynor, recently visited the development works which have been since completed, and presented an investment cheque for €35,000 which allowed the group leverage almost €100,000 from alternative funding sources towards the project. The group are adamant that the recent project is only one Phase in a Master Plan of development upgrade. The work thus far has enhanced significantly the safety of pedestrians using a well known walking route along the main road and adjoing river.
