This month we  take a look at a worthwhile initiative by our neighbours up in Northern Ireland who have established a trade directory solely for Social Enterpise.

‘tradesocial.net’ is a site where you can find information about the range of products and services available to buy from social enterprises in Northern Ireland. 

The purpose - of tradesocial.net is to help social enterprises promote themselves to a greater number of potential customers in the public, private and third sectors and to the general public. Indeed it is something that might not be lost on this part of the island.

Benefits of the site include making it easy for potential customers to search by product, business name or sector giving them better access to the products and services provided by social enterprises across Northern Ireland.

The site is run jointly by the Social Economy Network (SEN) and Work West and was developed by amalgamating both organisations' existing trade directories and improving the accessibility and functionality for the benefit of all users.
