This month we feature the website pertaining to the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement. To the untrained eye it's possible the thought of spending time sifting through such an agency's site www.odce.ie could bring on the shakes and the perception that these guys are out to get us!

Not so! In fact one of the primary goals of the agency is to Improve Public Understanding of Company Law Rights and Duties. With this in mind one aspect of the website in particular should be of interest to all within our sector i.e. Summary Quick Guides, which provide 8 different guides, developed with the non-professional in mind and have received the Plain English mark from the National Adult Literacy Agency. They explain in brief the principal duties of the various company officers.

Also worth taking a look at is the section entitled Company Law and You which is extensive and informative, a useful resource for your office, and again with the non-professional in mind.
