The community of Carndonagh in Donegal received a welcome boost to the staged redevelopment of the Colgan Community & Resource Centre on Chapel Rd. having secured investment of some €150,000 from UCIT (Ireland).

The building which has played host to numerous social events down through the years has been experiencing a significant rejuvenation at the hands of its dedicated committee who embarked on the works a number of years ago.

This particlar phase will feature improved access to the building via a wheelchair lift, provide for quality toilet accommodation, improve the existing committee room, and facilitate future phases of extended accommodation to Colgan Hall, a listed building. UCIT (Ireland)'s investment serves to complement the hard work this group have undertaken in rousing interest among their community and successfully raising well in excess of €110,00 at a local level to date. The project was also funded by Inishowen Development Partnership and the Rural Development Programme.
