UCIT has had a busy couple of months with a number of new approvals and drawdowns. Recent loans approved include:
Short Strand Partnership
UCIT have approved a loan to Short Strand Partnership to fund internal alterations to a building at Pottingers Quay, Belfast, which will be used as a childcare facility.
Landmark East
UCIT is delighted to have approved a loan to Landmark East to enable the purchase of 16 Burren Way, Cregagh - the birthplace and childhood home of George Best - thereby keeping an iconic property in the hands of the community.
Farranshane Community Trust
UCIT have approved a loan to Farranshane Community Trust to finance the fit out of 4 shell offices in Farranshane House (located on the outskirts of the Rathenraw Housing Estate) in order to meet rental requirements.
Crumlin United Football & Social Club
Crumlin United was founded in 1968 to provide football and other sporting facilities in the extended Crumlin area. UCIT have approved a loan application towards the restructuring of the Club’s existing debt and the refurbishment of the Club premises.

Kilkerley Community Development Group, Co Louth
UCIT (Ireland) is delighted to have provided finance to Kilkerley Community Development Group, towards the funding of an extension to the local community centre.
Cashelard Community Development Association, Co Donegal
Cashelard Community Development Association, t/a The Breesy Centre, has received a cheque for €140,000 from UCIT (Ireland) to develop a multi-use play area. The loan will also be used to refinance existing bank borrowings in order to ease the Association’s cash flow commitments.
Recent Approval – Inniskeen Pitch & Putt Club, Co Monaghan
The idyllic village of Inniskeen in Co. Monaghan, best known as the home of world renowned poet Patrick Kavanagh is the most recent recipient of investment from UCIT (Ireland). Inniskeen Pitch & Putt Club, in association with a number of other local groups, is the lead partner progressing an initiative to upgrade the much used walkways along the local river.
