Helping you develop the sustainability of your social enterprise

In addition to providing finance, UCIT aim to help social enterprises access appropriate business development support. We see this as fundamental to our operation and have been developing new ways to take this commitment forward.

Social Enterprise Support Programme 2009 and beyond

In order to ensure that UCIT is in a position to support our social finance clients through the current economic downturn, the Board of UCIT has put in place a review process designed to help all of our loan holders identify any weaknesses in their business operations and determine what aid UCIT may be able to offer to alleviate any potential problems.

To facilitate this process, the Board have agreed to set aside a budget for specialist and dedicated professional support for loan clients where genuine need has been identified. This service will be provided, where appropriate, in the form of a one-to-one tailored mentoring provision. A number of generic training sessions will also be provided for organisations where a common need exists.
